What's New in Community Development 2019.1 FAQs

Following are questions and answers from the May 1, 2019, "What's New in Community Development Webinar":

Cases

Q: Can the Reported By field also be locked on cases with +field-level security?

A: At this time, no. This may make a good Idea for the Tyler Community portal to gauge interest from peer users.

Inspections

Q: With the inspection holidays, what happens if we work on holidays?

A: The holidays are specific to your organization. You enter those days. If a particular day is not a holiday for you, then don't enter the day as a holiday in CD System Settings.

Q: Can we set a minimum numbers of days before a permit inspection is scheduled? (We want inspections to be over 2-days from today when scheduled by owner/contractor)?

A: At this time, no. This may be a good candidate for the Ideas portal on Tyler Community to gauge interest from peer users.

myInspections

Q: How does the iPad myInspections app differ with 2019.1?

A: The app version in 2019.1 and 2018.1 is the same. When we update the app, we tend to make it work with any currently supported New World ERP version as it is downloaded through the app store.

Permits

Q: Regarding the permit warning for same parcel -- will you still be allowed to add the same permit type for which the warning is identifying?

A: This is just a warning. You can still add another Permit of the same type to the same parcel.

Tyler Hub

Q: Is Tyler Hub included with NWERP 2019.1, or does this require a license?

A: Hub is included in standard maintenance, but it is a separate install. Hub exclusively installs through Tyler Deploy, which you may have heard about in the technical webinar.
